We provide non-medical, in-home care services to seniors who Care To Stay Home, but need assistance through our dedicated, compassionate, and professional caregivers. We serve residents of Orange County and extend into parts of Los Angeles County.

Kraig NakanoPresident
Kraig Nakano began his career in Senior Services in 1992 with the City of Cypress. Mr. Nakano worked to develop educational and physical activity programs geared toward the elderly for the City’s newly built Senior Citizen Center. Read More »
Continuing his work with local cities, he joined the City of Cerritos in 1994 in Senior Services. In 1999, Mr. Nakano had an opportunity to join a non-medical in home care organization called Home Care-Giver Services. From 2000 to 2005 he was an integral part of developing the agency from one office in California to over a dozen successful operations in 9 different states. That agency was eventually acquired in 2005 by a publicly traded company. Mr. Nakano assumed the role as the State Director of Home Care Operations for ResCare Home Care, a role he held for over 2 years.
Having a passion for working in the home care industry and helping people age at home, Kraig partnered with long time family friends and business associates, Mark Wells and Parker Wells to found Care To Stay Home. Care To Stay Home was founded with the mission of enhancing the independence, dignity and quality of life for loved ones who desire to stay in their own homes. To that end, Mr. Nakano has devoted his professional career to assisting the Greatest Generation in aging in place.
He is a Board Member for the California Association for Health Services at Home (CAHSAH) and serves on the Home Care Aide Committee. He routinely travels to Sacramento to advocate keeping home care affordable and for positive change in the industry. With over 22 years of experience, Kraig continues a strong effort to educate and inform families, clients, employees, and other agencies about issues and challenges facing the home care industry.
Mr. Nakano graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Human Resources, with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship & Small Business. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters and enjoys golfing, fishing and playing basketball with friends. Read Less » -
Parker WellsVice President
Mr. Parker Wells has been involved in the Home Care industry since 1998, when his father, Mark C. Wells purchased Home Care-Giver Services, an Orange County based non-medical home care agency. This group, Home Care-Giver Services grew to serve thousands of families in 10 States through its 20 office locations. After witnessing the merger of Home Care-Giver Service, and having a desire to pursue a career in Healthcare Administration, Mr. Wells served as a private consultant for the Quality Control & Risk Management department of Intermountain Healthcare in Salt Lake City, Utah. As a consultant, Mr. Wells assisted Intermountain Healthcare in filling state licensing applications critical in opening the Intermountain Medical Center in Sandy, Utah November of 2006. Intermountain Medical Center is the 2nd largest hospital in the State of Utah and ranked #1 Best Hospital according to US News Rankings.
Seeing the need for continued assistance once a patient left the clinical, hospital setting, Mr. Wells, along with his father, Mark Wells and collogue Kraig Nakano, formed Care To Stay Home. Mr. Wells served as the Director of Business Development from 2007 through 2009. In 2009, Mr. Wells became Vice – President of Care To Stay Home where he now oversees the Operations and Marketing efforts in Southern California. Mr. Wells also consults with Home Care operations as well as health systems nationwide and maintains relationships with industry-leading professionals to help shape the delivery of In-Home Care services.
Mr. Wells holds a B.S. in Public Health from Brigham Young University where he served loyally as the Vice President of the Health Science Association. Mr. is passionate about Elder Care issues and serves as an advisor to the group Ageless Alliance. Scott MessickVice President of Business Development
Scott Messick is the Director of Community Relations with Care To Stay Home. Scott’s experience and passion with marketing relates back to both his father and grandfather. In January of 1984 the Messick family began Handbill Printers, a commercial printing company, located in Orange County, CA. Ever since his youth, Scott would work long hours helping in various capacities, but specialized in the bindery. His family built the company from the ground up and has now be a successful leader in its industry for over 30 years. Read More »
Beginning in 2011, Scott spent two years across the globe in Seoul, Korea. During this time, he was a self-funding volunteer for a religious organization where he fostered his love of service. In addition, this experience helped to develop his creative mind and he became fluent in the Korean language.
Upon returning to the United States, his drive for marketing continued and became firmly established when he began working in the Action Sports Industry. For a short period of time, Scott worked at Oakley Headquarters in the eyewear and watches department. With the knowledge gained, Scott moved to Hawaii and helped in laying the foundation of a new Oakley store location on the North Shore of Oahu. He was in charge of creating marketing campaigns and promotions, as well as carrying out their social media advertising. He was also the lead sales supervisor and finished 12th in the nationwide sales contest. During this time, Scott also graduated from Brigham Young University – Hawaii with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and an emphasis in Marketing.
When Scott moved back to his hometown of San Clemente, he was with long-time friend Parker Wells discussing what his next step in life would be. During several weeks of discussion, Scott recognized that joining Care To Stay Home would be an ideal position, as it allows him to serve others, fill a need in people’s lives, and use his talents in his role of educating the community about In Home Care services. Since 2015, Scott has been happily working as a liaison between Care To Stay Home and the community. His duties consist of agency promotion, customer acquisitions, and case management.
In Scott’s free time he really enjoys to go surfing. His all-time favorite wave is Rocky Point on Oahu’s North Shore. He also likes to play basketball, socialize with friends, and travel to new places around the world with his wife, McKenzie. Megan LopezDirector of Human Resources
Mrs. Megan Lopez has had a passion for senior services that began in High School. In 2003, Mrs. Lopez volunteered at a local nursing home where she spent her time working with the Activities Director. Mrs. Lopez joined the Care To Stay Home in 2011 as the Staffing and Recruitment Coordinator. She found her passion in helping pair the right staff members with the right clients. Her success in matching clients and caregivers has led her to overseeing all Staffing, Care Management, Employee Management and Human Resources.
Mrs. Lopez finds it incredibly rewarding to allow individuals to stay at home while providing quality care. She loves developing long lasting relationships with client’s, their family’s and the Care To Stay Home staff. The most rewarding aspect of her job is Care Management, where she is able to go into the home and see Clients and Employees. These home visits enable her to personalize these relationships, and see how beneficial home care is to individuals and their families.
When Megan’s not at work she is spending time with her husband and two kids. She enjoys church activities, bike riding, reading, knitting, organizing and spending time with her extended family. Mrs. Perez became part of the Care To Stay Home Team in 2011 and has worked in several capacities within the organization. Her passion for helping others and serving families led her to grow and advance in her career. In 2014, Mrs. Perez was promoted to become a Care Coordinator Staffing Coordinator where she currently works to place Personal Attendants with families.
With her insight and perspective, having been a Personal Attendant in the field, Mrs. Perez is able to better assist and problem solves with clients, families and Personal Attendants. When doing home visits and meeting with clients and families Mrs. Perez can easily relate to the job duties and responsibilities of our staff and understands the needs of our clients. Mrs. Perez works on as a Care Supervisor where she participates in the Staffing, Scheduling, Care Coordination and assists with Recruiting our staff.

Dee has been a people person from the day she was able to speak. Her ability to connect and build relationships steered her into recruiting. Dee started out her staffing career as a front desk receptionist at a legal staffing company where she first learned to screen candidates and set up interviews. As she wanted to further her career, she was promoted to full-cycle staffing. Dee received an opportunity as a Staffing Manager at a real estate/property management staffing agency where she managed a team of schedulers and was responsible for scheduling high volume assignments, new hire paperwork, assisted with payroll and Human Resource duties. Dee continued her staffing career by placing administrative and accounting positions. Her passion for helping people and doing the right thing only grew, leading her right to Care To Stay Home.
